Looks like a trailer for a motorcycle. Not bad but I prefer trailers made out of the rear ends of a matching Miata.

Typically the trailers are made out of front-c rashed or salvage title Miatas.

Looks like a motorcycle trailer.
Couldn’t you carry just as much with a hitch platform, and not have the complications of a trailer?

Ya, I am pretty sure it's a motorcycle trailler too. That trailer is cool, I think it would have a pretty negative effect on mileage compared to the motorcycle one.

Better weight distribution if the load is somewhat heavy, I would guess?

Probably, I imagine putting some type of containers on and off the hitch would get old though and there’s probably no need to worry about water proofing with the trailer.

I thought of that right after I posted. The trailer is probably also more secure.

You could carry 80% of that on a good luggage rack and still be able to have fun driving

I saw a BMW Z3 with a jet ski on a trailer today. I didn’t snag a pic as I was driving, but this is
almost
as unexpected.

When I was kid, we used to have a one of these trailers to tow behind the first miata we had for going to Topeka and other national tour events . They came in a big box and you put them together. T he trailer easily held a set of race tires, air tank, floor jack and all the other accouterments for a weekend of auto crossing along with a weeks worth of luggage for an adult and teenage kid. Combined with always taking the hardtop with us to keep the interior a somewhat more reasonable place for long distance driving, it made a miata much more useful. We replaced the wheels and tires with a taller set, and the trailer towed just fine behind a miata at interstate speeds, although steep hills or mountain passes would require a downshift to 4th to maintain 75-80mph. Coincidentally, the these black and tan trailers matched the car, black with tan interior , 93 leather package miata (with gold racing stripes).
